Eco friendly swaps in the bathroom
New Year and New start with more environmentally friendly swaps in store for 2020.
I've been wanting to switch the house over to be more environmentally friendly but it's also has to be practical and budget friendly. Here are a few of the eco swaps that we've found easy as a family in the bathroom. These could also be good Christmas presents, although maybe not the toothbrush. Although it's not quite as cringe-worthy as when my parents for some unknown reason bought me as a young teen some red underwear to open in front of my Grandparents!
A wooden toothbrush was an easy switch as we use standard toothbrushes anyway.
I changed my razor to a safety razor which will be cheaper in the long run as the replacement blades are over a third off the price of the big brand women's razor that I used to have. It's nice having a good product that not just priced because it's pink! And also bought this metal tin to put the old blades in which will last for ages!
We bought solid shampoo, we've tried a few different ones and I like Conchus shampoo bars with their hair rinse. I also have a shampoo and soap combined for the kids which is so handy having an all-in-one particularly when they have sleepovers with the Grandparents. Also i have metal travel tins so just cut a bit off to put in the tins for their swimming bags and our travel washbags.
Soap for the shower and hand soap was another easy swap plus I just buy one large soap and cut some off for the sink and some in our travel tins.
(Conchus haven't asked for a link or paid me, I just wanted to mention them as I am obsessed with their products! Even given some as presents)
